POST FRAME CONSTRUCTION

Pole Buildings in Spotsylvania County, VA

Contracting with Superior Buildings

Post-frame (aka pole barn) construction is the ideal solution for garages, horse barns, and many

other structures. Pole barns are more affordable than stick-frame buildings, since there is no traditional foundation required. Post-frame structures are also durable, functional, and stylish.

At Superior Buildings, we can bring your vision to life. Our buildings are completely custom, so you can choose a design that fits your unique wants and needs. We can copy an existing building, recreate a set of plans you find on Pinterest, or start from scratch with an idea you dream up. Our gallery is also full of past projects that you can use as inspiration.

We offer a variety of pole barn styles, ranging from small garages and workshops to custom barndominiums. We also offer horse barns, farm buildings, and commercial pole barns.

As general contractors, we offer complete, turnkey projects. This allows you to avoid the time consuming task of hiring excavators, electricians, and any other contractors needed for your project. Our goal is to make your pole barn project as hassle-free as possible.

Amish Roots

Our founder, Nate King, grew up on an Amish dairy farm in Lancaster County, Pennsylvania. He started building pole barns in 2001, traveling throughout Pennsylvania and the surrounding states.

Today, Nate runs the Superior Buildings office in Virginia, but he still enjoys farm life. When he’s not working, he’s usually tending to his cows.

About

Spotsylvania County, located in north-central Virginia, is a region rich in history and natural beauty. Established in 1721, it is named after the Spotswood family, prominent colonial figures. The county is perhaps best known for its role in the American Civil War, particularly the Battle of Spotsylvania Court House, one of the significant engagements during the 1864 Overland Campaign. This battle was part of the larger Siege of Petersburg and was marked by intense and prolonged combat, with notable historical sites like the Spotsylvania Courthouse and the nearby Wilderness Battlefield.

Today, Spotsylvania County is a mix of suburban and rural areas, offering a blend of historical charm and modern amenities. The county seat is the town of Spotsylvania Courthouse, which has a quaint, historic district and serves as a central hub for local government and community activities. The area features numerous parks and recreational opportunities, including Lake Anna, a popular spot for boating, fishing, and other outdoor activities.

Spotsylvania is also known for its strong community spirit and growing economy, with various local businesses, schools, and cultural events contributing to its vibrant atmosphere. The county's location, just south of Fredericksburg and within commuting distance of Washington, D.C., makes it an attractive place for both residents and visitors interested in exploring the historical and natural attractions of the region.
